ok i'm back

Not bad, i'm back bloggin 2nd day in a row....think i must be really bored.

Just got back from a cosy yummy dinner at Picotin with my sis....Pictotin's a lovely hideaway of a bistro with fab food (for now) but it's getting a tad over popular
Hope it keeps up it's standard of food n service. food at too many restaurants in singapore go downhill the moment business's good.
So for the sake of preserving Pictotin's standard of food, i won't tell where it is. haha (not like you can't google n find out where)

my sis n i were lamenting on the state of the banking industry now... The true wealth/ investment managers are far n few in between. Ask the average banker now their view on the market, their likely answer would be "Like that lo. Hope for the best" It's quite sad really. It's pretty appalling when bankers (in this age of rapid information exchange) don't even know what perpetual bonds are or worse what IPOs are!!....(alo? which planet are these pple from?)
Gone are the days where a true mark of a banker meant respect, integrity, intelligence and charisma.

Oh well, i guess it's the typical singapore syndrom. like in the food business, the moment business heats up, the standards go downhill
Ok nuff bitchin for the night....long day ahead...gotta Zzzz

hmmm...

Was being a voyeur to other people's blogs and for some reason i ended up getting myself registered as a "blogger"
Perhaps it's the usual boredom that goes hand in hand with being back in Singapore after being away to "anywhere but here"
Hmm...I don't think I'm making much sense here so excuse my ramblings.

Anyway just got back from Bangkok. Was there for "work"
Bkk has really changed over the years...I just love how the new cosmopolitan Bangkok with their spanking new malls rebles against the chaotic vibrancy of the old world of push carts stores, street side hawkers...all this within the usual setting of never ending noise n traffic that so defines bkk.
So let's put it this way...after "roughing" it out shopping at Bkk's pasa malams, you can zip into a trendy cafe for coffee n cake that probably wipes out whatever discounts I got from haggling with the street side vendors. Actually...it was Conrad who did all the bargaining hehe He's a real bargain monger, drives a hard bargain and seriously enjoys it! So all i need to do is pick whatever I want, Master Conrad steps in and teases, flirts and bargains his way to a hefty discount. Afterwhich he resumes his role as my personal porter cos being the gentlemen he is...he'll insist on carrying all my barang barang (except my handbag of cos!)

Oh yeah took quite abit of photos as well...will post it if I still have the urge to continue blogging =)
