Sex in the city: Bang kok, bang sue, bang na...
Thailand's favourite word is Bang. Every where you go you see places that tells you to bang sue bang na....talk about sex in the city...corny, i know...i'm in a funny mood now...must be too much time in the sun or heat stroke from prowling the hot dusty alleys of chatchuchak
So strange, my blog turned thai. Everything was in thai...the sign in buttons, new post buttons, everything...took me awhile to finally get to the post in page...
I'm in love with this boutique hotel we're staying in. It's just a small building along sukhomvit road but everything inside's so designer chic....warm neutral toned walls, clean lined furniture, mood lightings and love love the life sized black & white photos everywhere.
Oh the cutest part, the room comes with a packet of condom! (but not free la, it's 100 baht)
I was just joking with con that it would be really funny if the room had KY as well! hahaha
Last night's dinner was AMAZING! We ordered this steam fish in thai broth...OMG....it was served over a small fire...every mouthful was a burst of heavenly fire. My mouth's watering just thinking about it now.
Cant wait for tonight's dinner. We're heading to a seafood place that apparently serves curried crab that's totally de-shelled! yes no mess no fuss just the moist sweet flesh of crab...
After we're going on a cowboy soi adventure...where apparently.... the streets are lined with girls in ahem, birthday suits and well, cowboy's walking around.
Bangkok's abosultely fab...your senses are just spiked with so much of...just about anything

Paradox of Happiness
There are four aspects to the human person: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual
Physically, when you exercise regularly, sleep regularly, eat the right sorts of foods, and balance your diet, how do you feel. You feel fantastic. You feel more alive. You're healthier, happier, and you have a richer, more abundant experience of life.
Emotionally, when you give focus and priority to your relationships, what happens? You switch the focus off yourself and onto others. As you do, your ability to love increases . . . and as your ability to love increases, your ability to be loved increases. You become more aware of yourself, develop a more balanced view of life, and experience a deeper sense of fulfillment. You're healthier. You're happier.
Intellectually, when you take ten or fifteen minutes a day to read a good book, what happens? Your vision of yourself expands; your vision of the world expands. You become more focused, more alert, and more vibrant. Clarity replaces confusion. You feel more fully alive, and you are happier.
Spiritually, when you take a few moments each day to step into the classroom of silence and reconnect with yourself and with your God, what happens? The gentle voice within grows stronger, and you develop a deeper sense of peace, purpose, and direction. You're healthier, you're happier, and you have a richer experience of life.
Physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually, we know the things that infuse our lives with passion and enthusiasm. We know the things that make us happy. We just don't do them!
On the one hand, we all want to be happy. On the other hand, we all know the things that make us happy. But we don't do those things. Why? Simple. We are too busy. Too busy doing what? Too busy trying to be happy.
This is the paradox of happiness that has bewitched our age.
This brings to mind a cheesy song: "when you're happy and you know it...clap your hands!"
So...do i hear any hands clapping? Yes? No?
Well i'm tapping my foot to this song in my head...so I guess I must be fundamentally happy
haha

say you say me
Having only recently made a commitment to blog regularly, I'm now staring at a blank screen not sure what I should be blogging about....
Realised alot of blogs I've read are usually about Complains. How things are never good enough for me me me...How the world should just simply revolve around me me me otherwise I'm SO gonna complain about it in my blog.
Maybe that's why I don't really know what to blog about...because I don't have many things to complain about.
Not that my life's perfect. It's far from perfect.
But maybe because I don't sweat the small stuff. Neither do I expect the world to revolve around me.
I rather not become someone who's so caught up complaining that you never see the good around you.
So I'm going to make it a point to appreciate the good things and blessings in life no matter how small because there's really so much I should be thankful for.

Funny ads
the latest pokka ad really got me giggling...
It shows a Asian girl looking very seductive and tagline says "WHITE is my choice"
Perhaps the copyrighter thought it was high time Spore should be proud and go public with our Sarong Party culture...afterall it's "Uniquely Singapore".
But still nothing tops Zoe Tay's Imeeden ad. She proudly proclaims "Secret to my beautiful skin? I swallow"
Geddit? Geddit?
I wonder if the ad agencies responsible were trying to be too clever or it was embarressingly unintentional.

random quotes
Came across a quote in a book I'm reading, it says:
"A life lived in fear is a life half lived.."
So true
Now I just need to get over my fear of flying....yes yes I'm what you call a "white knuckle traveler"
*blush*

too damn expensive
Had a night out with Gine today...it was just a simple dinner of mussels, dessert, coffee n some beer/wine... for the quality and amount we had the bill was quite ridiculous. $91 just for medicore quality and portions. The taxi fare home was just as ridiculous.
Cost of living in Singapore is really getting quite out of hand. You now pay more for poorer quality and for very often pathetic portions.
A no frills chill out night out including taxi to & fro would set you back more than a hundred bucks.....in the not too distant past, $100+ used to be able to get you a nice meal with wine in a fancy restaurant.
Gine and i were just comparing the prices of day to day groceries like milo, milk, butter etc...and we realised that in just over 1 year, prices have gone up by more than 100%! If our ministers are STILL DEBATING whether Singapore's inflation is a concern, they seriously either:
(1) got their heads stuck in the clouds
or
(2) their last pay rise was so hefty that they just don't feel the pinch.
or
(3) they've not stepped into a supermarket in a long long long time
or
(4) they got nothing else to debate about in parliament
Chances are, it's probably a combination of all of the above
Things are getting too damn expensive in singapore...*grumble*

totally stoned....
it was my sister's wedding yesterday, made it out sober until our dear imelda insisted on going to B One @marriot.
2 long island teas (jugs) later.....everything went into a blur. While at the club, it was a nice kind of "blur" cos even the crappy band sounded better.
Anyway fast forward a few hours, my ass feels glued to the couch, totally stoned and i feel like the crappy band migrated to playing in my stomach...."Bleah"
Ok nuff for now, words are starting to gel together before my eyes...
